Dyslexia & Reading/Writing Services

The approach to reading and writing difficulties is a “whole child approach.” Both language and literacy goals and OT goals, if needed, are created for more effective and rapid progress.

We create an individual plan of care for each child that provides specific goals to be carried out with methods that are the most effective and based on current research.

Jaime Thomas, M.S., CCC-SLP manages every plan of care and all goals for each child seen at the practice by frequently meeting with our team of therapists and reading specialists regarding the child’s goals and progress.

We have helped hundreds of children go from “non-readers” to successful “love to read-ers” with our language and literacy intensive model. We target specific goals using research based methods that include Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, the Visualizing and Verbalizing® program by LindaMood-Bell®, language processing therapy/ receptive and expressive language therapy to address ALL of the child’s literacy development needs.
